Why Did You Get Involved in the MIHC?
My search for a practice space for our bagpipe band in 2009 led me to the phone number for the center. The bell had recently fallen, and they were willing to take a chance on us. The Heritage Center is the cornerstone of Maine’s Irish community and is growing beyond our borders as the go-to source for so many resources in New England and beyond. The activities available through the center – genealogy, cultural, athletic, and fraternal organizations provide something for everyone, Irish or not!
Experience
Before I began my career in the financial services industry, I worked as a fish monger in Newport, RI after graduating from college, so many, many years ago…
Irish Roots
My family’s roots are traced back to Tipperary and Kilkenny.
Interests & Hobbies
My wife and I live in Old Orchard Beach and our 4 kids are spread out in New England and the Western US. My wife and I are founding members of the Claddagh Mhor Pipe Band. We enjoy both domestic and international travel, meeting new people and trying local foods.
