Sean O’Coistealbha was the long-time director of the self-help cooperative Muintearas, located in the heart of the Irish-speaking Galway Gaeltacht. He is currently in residence at the Catholic University of America, where he gives recitations in Irish and English. He has translated well-known Irish language poems and songs and written extensively his own poetry and verse. He has visited the MIHC on several earlier occasions, and we welcome him for a one-day visit on Thursday, December 28, 2023. The program is free and will be held in the Genealogy Library beginning at 7pm. Space is limited. Please RSVP to reserve seats.
