Our Mission

The Maine Irish Heritage Center is the hub of all things Irish in Maine. Our mission is to provide a community resource where connections to Maine’s Irish history and culture can flourish.

Stewardship

Protect, preserve and restore the national historic landmark that was formerly St. Dominic’s Church, the heart of the early Irish community in Maine.

Community

We provide a center for Maine’s diverse communities to share their cultural experiences through educational programs and community events.

Resource Center

Home to Maine’s Irish Genealogical Center, Museum, Archives, and Library with over 4,000 books, magazines, and music, we  keep the story of the Irish in Maine alive.
