Why Did You Get Involved in the MIHC?

Irish-American history is American history, especially here in New England. As a local history buff, I have followed the MIHC for years and have been impressed by the organizations ability to connect our shared past to the present. I thought joining the Board would be a great chance to give back, get involved, and learn more about my heritage and its impact on our state.

Experience

I practice municipal and land use law in Portland with the law firm Jensen Baird. I am a graduate of Portland Public Schools and have a B.A. in Political Science from Bates College. I also have my J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law.

Irish Roots

My mother’s side is Irish and has lived in Maine since their immigration to America several generations ago.

Interests & Hobbies

I enjoy getting outside and exploring the outdoors here in Maine and across New England. I also enjoy a good book from time to time.
