Why Did You Get Involved in the MIHC?
Elijah moved to Maine as a child and spent time with her grandfather, who was passionate about his Irish Heritage. As an adult, Elijah has found a drive to connect with her community. The Maine Irish Heritage Center was brought to her attention by a friend and after attending some of their community events she became motivated to become involved.
Experience
Elijah holds a degree in Psychology and Anthropology from the University of Southern Maine and has worked in the field of social work for thirteen years. She is currently employed with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services as a child protective case work supervisor.
Irish Roots
Elijah’s great-great grandparents immigrated to Boston from Seatown, Drogheda, and Cork.
Interests & Hobbies
Elijah lives in Bath with her family. She is a voracious reader and lover of film, with a particular interest in true crime and horror, and enjoys all things music.
