Mary E. McAleney, Chair
|
A District Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration's Maine District Office, Mary E. McAleney oversees the delivery of agency programs in the State of Maine. Prior to joining the Maine District Office in July 1998, McAleney served as the SBA District Director for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for three years. McAleney worked for Senator Mitchell for ten years serving as his Chief of Staff during his tenure as Majority Leader of the U.S. Senate. McAleney is committed to building public/private partnerships which give Maine businesses the tools they need to start and expand. McAleney sees her role to make sure every Maine business, whether it be in agriculture, forestry, fishing, manufacturing, technology or service knows how to use SBA's resources - tools for success. A native of Maine, McAleney grew up in Vanceboro and attended St. Joseph's Academy in Portland. She is a graduate of Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts. After teaching school at Catherine McCauley High School in Portland, McAleney worked in the Maine legislature as a field organizer for the Maine State Employees Association before becoming scheduler for Senator Mitchell. She lives in South Portland and spends time with her extensive family enjoying the wonders of Maine.

Richard (Ric) Hanley is Chief Operating Officer at Spring Harbor Hospital and the MMC Mental Health Network. He has worked in the healthcare field for thirty years, primarily in mental health, but also served as CEO for a small med-surg hospital for several years. In addition to membership on the IHC board, he also currently serves as Board President for Shalom House, Inc., an agency that provides a comprehensive range of housing options for mentally ill individuals. Ric is the father of three grown sons, and grandfather to Jonah (15), Caitlyn (6), Teddy (4), and Benjamin (18 mos.). He and wife Liz (a senior accountant with DHHS) maintain a home in Winthrop, and a townhouse in South Portland. This arrangement allows them to keep tabs on the older generation, and also try to keep up with the younger folks.

Mark Duval is a South Portland native. Mark and his wife Anne own and operate Duvals Service Center, located at 20 Park Ave. South Portland. Mark also is a partner in New England Transmission located in South Portland and Bangor. They own and manage Roundstone Realty Group and OneDuval Properties. Mark has two wonderful kids, a daughter Margaret and a son Martin. Mark earned a BS in Business Administration, Saint Joseph’s College, an AAS in Automotive Technology and an AAS in Industrial Technology from SMCC. He is also an ASE Blue Seal Certified Master Technician. Mark is serving on the Portland Water District Board of Trustee, SMCC Presidents Advisory Board, Maine Merchants Association, and Breakwater Daybreak Rotary.

Jim Walsh
|
Mr. Walsh is a native of Portland and was instrumental in the creation of the Maine Irish Heritage Center. He was a founding member of the Foundation for the Preservation of St. Dom's and has lead the fight to save the historic building. He is a licensed realtor. |

Vinny O'Malley
|
Mr. O'Malley is a commissioner on the Maine Unemployment Insurance Commission. He grew up in the shadow of St. Dom's and has been a neighborhood advocate for 35 years. A founding board member of the Maine Irish Heritage Center, Mr. O'Malley has long ties to Maine's labor community. |

Ann Rohland Dickey is a Portland native and grew up in the West End. She attended St.Dominic's school and church. Her mother, Grandparents and great grandparents were all St.Dominic parishioners. Ann retired from Verizon Communications. |

Sherry Doherty
|
A native of Hanover, New Hampshire, Sherry Doherty spent twenty years in the U.S. Air Force in the field of Command and Control retiring in August 1999. In her military career she held Special Duty assignments with the North American Defense Command (NORAD) Command Center in Colorado Springs, CO and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Operations Center at Dulles International Airport, VA. After retiring, she worked for several organizations within the Department of Homeland Security. She is presently a DOD contractor and performs web design and development. Sherry holds two degrees in Computer Technology and Information and Communications, and a CompTIA A+ Computer Technician certification. She resides in Scarborough with her husband Martin and three children: Alicia, Connor and Michael.

Patsy Wiggins
|
Patsy Wiggins joins the Government Relations Practice Group of Eaton Peabody with 30 years of experience in television journalism and multi media production. Wiggins spent an impressive 23 years in television news as an anchor, reporter and producer at four of the major television stations in Maine. Wiggins spent many hours at the Statehouse covering the Maine Legislature during the Longley Administration while reporting for WABI-TV, Bangor. For a brief time in 1980, Wiggins was Senate President Joseph Sewall's Administrative Assistant. Wiggins was a reporter and noon anchor for several years at WCSH-TV. At Maine Public Broadcasting she hosted a new program "Personally Speaking” and then "Mainewatch" when the previous host, Angus King, decided to run for Governor of Maine. "True North" was the third MPBN program Wiggins hosted. She also anchored the noon and co-anchored the 5:30 news at WGME-TV in Portland for three years. Wiggins has written and produced several special programs. An hour-long documentary about the life of Senator Margaret Chase Smith, included interviews with Edmund Muskie, Strom Thurmond, Richard Nixon and other Congressional leaders. Wiggins received an award from the Maine Association of Broadcasters for her special "Walter Cronkite, At Anchor in Maine." She interviewed teacher in space Christa McAuliffe, while she was training in Houston and Wiggins was live on air when Challenger lifted off. Wiggins flew with the Blue Angels and in 2007 interviewed Eleanor Roosevelt’s private secretary, Maureen Corr in New York City. Most recently Wiggins co-founded and was president of a multi media company in South Portland where she videotaped and edited stories for various programs, events and clients, including;“Cure for Breast Cancer in Me”, Spurwink Institute’s Founders Recognition, Schlumberger, Houston, Texas, Joy & Leadership Conference, Albany, New York, “Women Leading Sustainability Conference", Detroit, Michigan, “Justice Pioneers”, Chicago, Illinois, “Celebrate School People” Augusta, Maine and Morris Yachts 35th Anniversary. Wiggins has served on several state boards and commissions, including Maine Maritime Academy, and the University of Maine.
